from Paris, Lyon, by the Autoroute A7, exit 19, Bollène, follow
the direction Vaison la Romaine, passing through Suze la Rousse,
Tulette...
from Narbonne, Montpellier, by Autoroute A9, exit 20,
Orange centre,
take the direction Vaison la Romaine, passing through Camaret,
then Sablet, or Rasteau...
from Nice, Marseille, by Autoroute A7, exit 22, Orange
Sud, take
the direction Vaison la Romaine, passing through Jonquieres,
Violes, Sablet...
Arriving in Vaison, follow signs for "Cite Medievale"
or "Haute Ville".
Over the new bridge look out for small burgundy colored signs
for "Le Beffroi".
! Do not take into account the No Entry signs at each
entrance to the Old City - car access to le Beffroi
is authorized. |

archaeological excavations of Vaison la Romaine offer a choice of
promenades. By car, stunning cultural trasures, picturesque
scenery and nature make Vaison la Romaine a center of an endless
choice of excursions. Within and around Vaison you will find

for those who love hiking. The vineyards of Sablet go right through
the village.
Gigondas The "Dentelles of
Montmirail". The citadel and hospice. Church sheltering gold leafed
wood statues of Saints Cosmo and Damien. Roman chapel with beautiful

Vacqueyras Medieval village with narrow
streets climbing to the ramparts of the old chateau. On the hillside
the Coste de Coq botanical center initiates you in Provencale
flora.
Beaumes de Venise Large parish church
constructed in 1507. Ruins of a 6th century feudal castle and walls.
Numerous caves, les "baumes" which gave their name to the
